This photo above is a photo of Miss Korea 2013 contestants highlighting the fact they all have had plastic surgery. It's obvious they were all going for the same end result look.
A gal I work with from China was telling us about the plastic surgery culture in Korea, its shocking.
From the moment a child is born parents begin saving for plastic surgery for their kids. It's mainstream to have a procedure done, like going to get your nails done.

It is extremely competitive when finding a mate as many people strictly go by looks there. Instead of each person finding someone they are naturally attracted to, they look for this preconceived ideal look the country has put in place. And I thought the media was poisoning in America!
Some people, both girls & guys, take pills to loose weight. They are pill in which your body holds on to 0 fat - it goes straight through you. I can't imagine the destruction that does on your body. There is such an intense need to look like everyone else this certain way in Korea people go to extreme measures to get there.
On BuzzFeed they had an article showcasing 31 before & after shots - http://www.buzzfeed.com/kierawrr/31-crazy-before-and-after-photos-of-korean-plastic-4gx1

I went to Dr. Jerome Edelstein for arm lift because I wanted not because my parents saved money for my surgery:)
Hey Flory, thanks for stopping by. I agree make-up can do wonders, these girls definitely have the same makeup look join!
DeleteI think the main point I was trying to make was that plastic surgery is very very common amongst people in Korea. So common, you could find extreme's where parents save up for their kid's procedures because it was done for them sort of thing.
Jess - I legit thought that was all the same girl doing different hair styles and makeup till I scrolled down and read it. This is beyond disturbing, thanks for educating!

DeleteEven at normal room temperature, plastics can leach into water so you can imagine what hot water will do. This goes for heating food too.
