My Monday has been Marvelous because I went into work today focused, and determined. Who said productive Sunday's are overrated? I had my personal stuff taken care of, feeling good and that made all the difference. Getting back to work after being away for a week I had a lot to do, but with my mom's favorite (and awesome saying) one thing at a time playing over and over in my head as the day went on I found myself doing just that. Mantras, they work. Feel free to put that one on repeat. Kind of like I did when I was like eight and just got *NSync's first CD. Think my grandma got it for me for my birthday, yes, when kid's still knew what CD's were. Pretty rad Grandma though right? Yes I sure think so.
Today (Jan 7th) starts the first day of The Starving Artist's Jan. Challenge, but it doesn't go live until US time, so I will patiently wait until tomorrow to start the challenges. Since it is the 7th here already (time zones, welcome to my life) I'm going to post my beginning progress photos today. The challenge calls for a beginning self-picture of arms/legs/core/back. Beware, this is intense....but I want to do this challenge full-out so here goes...
The Starving Artist (Real name: Jessica Barros) requested people post these photos to IG, I'm still deciding on that one. So heey special viewing opp. for you...if you could see me, I'd be smiling at you nervously waving jazz hands on either side of me. This is me in the raw, not nude, raw.
Today's workout, day 46 ?? for livefit was shoulders and man they were burning! Like I said in my previous post I'm not sure exactly which specific day I'm on but I am going in order of the workouts as per my phase two daily sch.
I don't think anyone saw me taking the weird selfie at the gym in the corner....I probably smiled at them later being that I do smile at strangers anyways, so I think I'm in the clear with that one.
Has anyone decided to join me in the Jank-Free Jan with Sprint2TheTable? After reading through most of the blogs I follow, catching up, I noticed a ton of other people doing junk-free January, no-crap food's month, whole foods only, raw diet, sugar-free etc. A blog I love following called A Healthier, Fitter Me by: Yaitza is doing a "30 Day No-Crap Foods Challenge" for January, she has ran a challenge like this in the past, you can check out her handy food guide for it here. She has a bunch of different ways to connect with her if you'd like to participate, I suggest checking out the links above to do so!
The New Year always brings on new energy, new goals, lots of information, lots all at once so try not to take all of it in at one time. Head back over to the one thing at a time mantra, and take your time. Go at your own pace, after all...you know what's best for you! So be good to yourself, with that I will leave you with this cool chalk-art thingy? I saw on pinterest last night::

Wow! You're pretty awesome for posting your raw photos! Your raw look is pretty good so I am sure will look even better once your challenge is done! Good luck!
