Celebrations from an iphone's Perspective

Revived, refreshed, a new age, a new year, as if all the new year's commotion wasn't enough, my bday is soon after to remind me of the fresh year. Commotion...uh oh the whole old thing might be kicking in early...when's the last time you said commotion?

Exactly.

I had a fantastic day yesterday on my day of birth, full of good fun, great fun, and lots of laughs. Technically today is my birthday in America, because of the time difference...two birthdays, hell ya. That's why I moved to New Zealand in the first place, two birthday's a year? Sold. Yep...my plan all along.

As they say picture is worth a thousand words. Who the heck is they anyways? I always wonder that when people use that saying...so I guess that makes my saying above a saying within a saying? Is this what they call, loosing it? Old age.

JPEG yeahhh now that is proof I'm still young and hip, up with the ol technology that's right. I'm totally over exaggerating when I say "I'm old" but it's fun to over exaggerate, that's what makes half the stories I tell FUNNY!

Because we are on an image, picture, jpeg hype:: I thought I'd share some of my birthday celebrations with you through the lens of my right-hand iphone.

Annnd YES most of these celebrations included food!

Mother Nature greeted me in the AM with a gorgeous sunrise after my gym workout.
Isn't that sweet of her?

Arriving at work, I was greeted with a jar of peanut butter & American flags.
Yes, I'm the token American at my work,
every NZ company needs one.
You know you have a peanut butter addiction when ______________________. I can fill in that sentence so many ways, this time with:: your co-workers know a peanut butter jar will make your day. That jar was opened about 11 minutes later. The first 10 minutes was like a starring contest, I caved. It's so good, the peanuts are actually roasted here in NZ in a place called Nelson. No salt added either, winnerr.
Mexican food for lunch with the co-workers.

The decor was so creative, artsy, and unique. The food was served tapas style so we got a bunch of things to share and each got a taco. Soooo good, my new fav. place. The margarita carafe wasn't too bad either. **creepy wink face**

Gelato, uhh duh.

Next up, out to dinnaaa::
S U S H I

Obviously the American flag made an appearence.

I'm also the token American for our friend group...I'm just one busy gal, take a numba people!

 Busy, and super shy too...
Great group of friends to enjoy the night with.

The place we went to was BYO wine, which is awesome. A ton of places here are like that, you bring your own, pay $5.00 and boom you can drink it. Such a sweet deal, love it. I don't know why anyone would pick somewhere without it! We got some sake, all kinds of dishes to share, everything was fabulous. I was here last year for my birthday...think I see a tradition in the making. After last night I think everyone got to know me quite well, even the big table to the left of ours, another birthday celebration over there. I of course went over and hugged the bday man. Like I said...I can be really shy sometimes.

The wine I brought: "Old Vine"
Do you see the theme here?

A photo gem from my 22nd birthday.

22 is the age everyone freaks out about, like after 21, life ends...or get's boring or something. So me being the over-exaggerator I am got all my friends to dress up as old people, and went on a bar crawl out in our college town. It was hilarious. If I had a penny everytime I heard, "OMG this is EXACTLY what you're going to look like in 50 years...." I'd be rich.

Uh oh, there I go with the sayings again.

I got a ton of happy birthday's, picture colleges, emails, messages, instagrams, it's been a really great two days. (two...mwuhahah the plan, remember the plan!)

THANK YOU
all who wished me a happy day, couldn't have asked for a better one.
Definitely felt the love.

Special shout out to my birthday twin, Donna, she's over in San Fransisco holding it down for me. You know, saving space for when I move back to California.

    1. Yes, it's beautiful here. Sometimes I don't know how I get to work in the morning with all these beaches distracting me, not a bad problem to have :) Definitely keep NZ on your list of places to visit. I love linking up, thanks for having me. Yes, see you next week!
