Tuesday from an iPhone's Perspective

Today I was sure to stop and admire the beautiful city I live in, it was Marvelous as some would say. Marvelous in my Tuesday, oh yes kind of like Katie's Marvelous in my Monday over at her blog. Marvelous in My Monday (MIMM) is a great concept focusing on, "the bright -side," of Mondays aka Start of the week aka Coffee Mania aka How was your weekend small-talk...you get it.

I'm out of the office a lot of the time visiting agents, it's nice to be outside moving and groovin! Some area's of the city really remind me of SF, which is dear to my heart...sometimes I swear I spot someone I know from home...haven't confirmed anyone yet, but maybe one day...

come visit.

My Marvelous Tuesday from my iPhone's perspective AKA 5'1 Jess::

The last two day's of workouts have been awesome, I'm in the final two weeks of the LiveFit Trainer, can you say home stretch?
home stretch.

The workouts consist of circuits where you complete a circuit of 5-6 exercises (high reps, low weight) after completing the whole circuit, it's then you take a rest. I think my heart rate monitor has caught on...I'm definitely seeing a higher average heart rate in workouts which is awesome! I will do a review on my heart rate monitor soon. I think it's a great tool to have when weight training because it helps manage your rest time between sets, active rest impact, and provides a visual to how hard your body is working throughout the workout. The calorie reading at the end of the workout is always motivating too.

The last two days of workouts, legs/back::

NOW on to some very exciting news:: I'm launching my newly designed Rock Yo Socks Lunchbox series with a new button! Yeeehaw so stoked! Feel free to grab it and add to your blog to feature what you're bringing to work for lunch/snacks/etc.

This series of posts has it's own tab up at the top of my blog so you can reference it easily. I will add the button to my sidebar for easy access too! Well ain't that convenient?

I hope this series will inspire you to jazz up what food you bring to work, and maybe even motivate you to pre-plan. The key is to make a big dinner so you have left-overs, then leave the smaller snacks to prepare for the AM. But hey it's going to come down to what works for you so go for it and experiment!

Like I've mentioned in posts before:: Tweet me your Rock Yo Sock's Lunchbox whenever with the hashtag #RYSL @jessnesstweets, I'd love to see what you've got! I meannn everyone needs ideas righttt...

Today's Lunchbox::
  • 1/2 cup mashed cauliflower potatoes (link to recipe) - Yes, in a babyfood cup, figured anything baby would be a safe bet
  • salad: spinach leaves, a tomato, chickpeas, 1/2 avocado, 1/4 red onion - I sometimes cut everything up at work, but getting it together is half the battle so strap on your armour and go to town people!
  • apple
  • grapes
I'm going to feature my high-carb day tomorrow for WIAW like I featured my low-carb food day last week. That way you can see how the day's are different when carb-cycling.

Have a rad one,
 Be GOOD to YOURSELF!
